Chief Host: Tayo Akobi JP.
Chief Host’s Welcome Address:
EPRA, Leadership & Entrepreneurial Summit and Awards UK 2026.
Distinguished Guests of Honour, Esteemed Awardees, Special Invited Guests, Partners, Ladies and Gentlemen.
It is with immense joy, gratitude, and a deep sense of honour that I warmly welcome you all to the 8th Edition of the EPRA, Leadership and Entrepreneurial Summit and Awards UK 2026.
First and foremost, I give all glory to God Almighty, whose grace, faithfulness, and unfailing mercy have made this remarkable occasion possible. The gift of life, the privilege of continuity, and the opportunity to celebrate excellence for the eighth consecutive edition are blessings that deserve our heartfelt thanksgiving. Many admirable initiatives begin with great enthusiasm yet struggle to survive beyond their first year. Today, EPRA stands as a testament to vision, resilience, consistency, and divine favour.
You may recall that I shared in previous editions that EPRA was born from a deeply personal conviction: that countless exceptional individuals work tirelessly in our communities without receiving the recognition they truly deserve. These are the unsung heroes whose leadership, compassion, innovation, and service quietly transform lives every day.
Driven by that vision, the management of Fancy TV Channel UK proudly launched the maiden edition in 2017. Since then, EPRA has grown into a respected platform dedicated to identifying and celebrating outstanding leaders, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, community champions, and change-makers who exemplify integrity, excellence, and selfless service.
Tonight is more than an awards ceremony—it is a celebration of purpose. It is a movement that promotes diversity, inspires inclusion, and encourages the next generation to believe that genuine leadership is measured not merely by position or influence, but by the positive impact we make in the lives of others.

The uniqueness of the EPRA Awards lies in its commitment to recognising leaders of exceptional character—individuals who willingly mentor others, transfer knowledge, empower future leaders, and create opportunities that contribute to sustainable growth and a greener, more prosperous economy. We honour those who understand that true leadership is not about building followers, but about developing future leaders.
Our gathering this evening celebrates academic excellence, healthcare heroes, entrepreneurial innovation, humanitarian service, sports achievement, creative excellence, and community leadership. EPRA is intentionally inclusive, transcending political, economic, cultural, religious, and professional boundaries. It is, above all, a clarion call to serve humanity with compassion, integrity, and excellence.
I am also delighted to announce that the proceeds from this event will support the EPRA Foundation Trust Acquisition Skills Project—an initiative dedicated to empowering individuals through practical skills development, education, and opportunities that foster economic independence and community transformation. Every contribution made tonight becomes an investment in hope and a brighter future.
To our distinguished award recipients, I offer my warmest congratulations. Your achievements have earned you this recognition, and your stories will undoubtedly inspire many others to pursue excellence with courage and determination.
To our honoured guests who have travelled from across the United Kingdom and beyond, thank you for gracing this prestigious occasion with your presence. Your support adds significance, prestige, and elegance to this celebration, and we are truly privileged to have you with us.
As we celebrate excellence together, may this evening create lasting memories, meaningful connections, and renewed inspiration for greater service to humanity.
Thank you for being part of the EPRA family.
I wish you all a wonderful evening, every success, and may God richly bless you.
Thank you.
Tayo Akobi JP.

Distinguished speakers included Professor Oluwaseyi Olayinka Yusuf of Prairie View A&M University, Texas, USA, who addressed the topic “From Prediction to Prevention: The Next Frontier of AI in Precision Healthcare.” His presentation explored the growing significance of artificial intelligence in transforming healthcare delivery, supporting preventive medicine and improving patient outcomes.

Many Nigerians have travelled beyond the shores of their homeland in pursuit of education, professional advancement, economic security and better opportunities for their families.
However, the journey of migration is not always straightforward. Behind many success stories are years of sacrifice, financial pressures, professional struggles, cultural adjustments and personal determination.

Chief Bimbo Roberts Folayan, Executive Director of J Williamz Limited, explored the importance of strengthening investment, trade and entrepreneurial relationships between the United Kingdom and Africa through diaspora engagement.
Together, these discussions reinforced the importance of collaboration, innovation and forward-thinking leadership in addressing contemporary social and economic challenges.
